Our office is involved in a number of special programs.
Infantsee- is an American Optometric Association program to provide free eye exams for infants ages 6-12 months. The purpose is to detect eye health and vision problems at an early age before they lead to permanent vision loss. www.infantsee.org
Vision USA- is an American Optometric Association program to provide free eye exams for people who do not have insurance and can not afford eyecare. www.aoa.org
Healthy Vision Week- is a Northern Plains Eye Foundation program held each October to provide free vision screenings for children ages 3 to 11 in the Rapid City area. The screenings can detect any vision problems which may cause problems with learning and school.
Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity (VOSH)-The primary mission of VOSH / International is to facilitate the provision of vision care worldwide to people who can neither afford nor obtain such care. Dr. Moriarty spent a week providing free eyecare in Gomez Palacio, Mexico. www.vosh.org
